Description:
Shell is oval or bilong in shape, longer than broad, inequilateral, nacreous. acute umbones: lunule lozenge-shaped. It has rounded anterior margin. Posterior side is short that is less than half of the anterior side. Plate- like hinge teeth, anterior side have 25-28 teeth and posterior side have 8-9 teeth. Ventral margin is denticulate on the inner side. Colour: exterior olive or greyish with reddish-brown or greyish-brown rays emanating from the umbones.
