Description:
Shell small, thick, solid, inflated. ovate-trigonal, right valve lightly embraces the left by the over-lapping ventral margin; anterior end rounded; posterior end beak-like: umbones large. anterior; outer surface marked by growth lines, a distinct periostracum absent. Valve sculptured with strong concentric ridges. Smooth inner surface with muscle scars. Colour: whitish-brown or greyish.
