Description:
The shell is large, thick, and circular, with two unequally sized valves. The interior is smooth, with elongated scars where the adductor muscles attach. The hinge is thick and arched. The inner margin is encircled by a finely crenulated striae. The shell is whitish to light rose in color, with a dark purple band on the postero-lateral side
