Description:
The shell is medium-sized, thick, circular, and inequivalve. Left valve is large and deep, while the right valve is flattened. The periostracum is inconspicuous. The ligament is external. The hinge is thick and has large with curved teeth. Inside of the shell is porcelaneous with two large, subequal, dorsoventrally elongate adductor muscle scars. There is no pallial sinus. The inner margin is finely crenulated. The color of the shell is outside creamy-white, and the interior is shiny white.
