The shell is small, thick, and laterally compressed, trigonal or wedge-shaped with concentric growth lines crossing with the radial ribs. The ventral margin is crenulated .The umbones are opisthogyrate. The hinge has two small cardinal teeth and less developed lateral teeth. The pallial sinus is deep. The interior of the shell is smooth
