Description:
The shell is medium-sized, moderately thick, solid, and inflated. It is elongated and egg-shaped with the umbones located a little forward of the midlength of the shell. The outer surface is sculptured with strong, rounded, and fine radial ribs. The ribs are slightly scaly on the anterior and posterior slopes. The hinge has two cardinal teeth in each valve. The pallial sinus is relatively shallow. The inner margins are smooth.
