Shell medium ,ovate,strong ,inflated,equivalve,slightly inequilateral.Exterior sculptured.with 35-38 strong triangular radial ribs, rather sea postero-ventrally. Interstices deep. Shell hei slightly greater than the length. Hinge with strongly unequal cardinal teeth, lateral teeth at distinct. Umbones prominent above the hinge h Body heart-shaped when viewed from the anterior side. Two subequal adductor muscle scars. Pallial line without a sinus. Internal margin crenulated corresponding with the outer sculpture. Colour. exterior whitish to creamy.
