Description:
The shell is inequivalve, inequilateral, and solid. The shape of the shell depends on the substrate. On hard substrata, the shell is elongate with extensive fluting. On soft substrata, the shell is ovate and smooth. On mini-reefs, the shell is solid with irregular margins. The shells are sculpted with large, irregular, rounded, radial folds by the concentric lamellae.
