It is small, has a unique shape, and has four to ten leaves on each stalk. The form of the H. beccarii leaf blades is linear to lanceolate, with a sharp tip and an attenuate base. The leaf blade’s length ranges from 0.7 to 1.5 cm (7 to 15 mm), while its breadth is between 0.1 and 0.3 cm (1 to 3 mm), with a completely serrated border occasionally present. There are no cross veins and one to three longitudinal midveins. The internodes, which sustain the plants, are 1-2 cm long and have a narrow diameter of approximately 1 mm on the rhizomes.
