Description:
The midrib disappears just below the tip. Secondary branches are arranged in pairs along one plane, with a shape that can vary from nearly cylindrical to somewhat flattened, displaying fine grooves. The plants exhibit a color ranging from pale to medium brown and possess disc-shaped to somewhat conical structures for anchoring. The lower lateral branches are lance-shaped with small serrations along their edges and blunt tips. The upper lateral branches are also lance-shaped or ovate-lanceolate, with a wedge-shaped base that is uneven, featuring scattered cryptostomata, which are small openings. The vesicles are spherical to slightly elongated, with a smooth surface and no spines, and they are attached to either cylindrical or slightly winged stalks. The primary branches are arranged in pairs along one plane, displaying a shape that can vary from somewhat flattened to nearly cylindrical, and they have slight grooves.
