The plants exhibit a color that ranges from olive to yellow-brown and have a translucent appearance. The lamina is divided through dichotomous branching. The edges are smooth, and the tips are simple, with a noticeable midrib. The surface of the frond is marked with small dots originating from the base, and it often has clusters of white filaments emerging from tiny pores. Occasionally, the margins may split all the way to the midrib. The oval-shaped sporangia can be found individually, scattered across the frond, or grouped together to create elongated patches.
