Description:
thallus in mixed turfs, loose, coarse, or as filamentous mats. Uneven branching below, unidirectional above. The base of lateral filaments with an open link to the parent cell lacks wall development. Rhizoids are fibrous, pale or colorless, and frequently end in pads that resemble fingers. Thickness up to 200 x 1-2 mm.
