Description:
The physique is quite stocky and lengthy. Where the beak and forehead converge, the melon is well marked. The lower jaw is longer than the upper jaw and has a small upward curvature near the tip. On the flanks, the color changes from dark gray to lighter gray dorsally to white to almost pink on the ventral side. At the mid-back region is a large falcate dorsal fin. The medium-sized flippers have a distinct median notch, are widely spaced, and have a somewhat rounded tip.
