Description:
The spinner dolphin has pointed flippers and a long, thin beak. It is a slender animal. A gentle slope of the head leads to the nose. The dorsal fin is falcate but varies greatly in shape; as it ages, it grows more erect. The majority of individuals have a tripartite color pattern, with a lighter shade of grey on the sides and a dark grey back and white underbelly. There is individual variance in coloration. The majority of people have a dark stripe that runs from their eye to their flipper. Lips and beak tip are black. Each row of teeth on a spinner dolphin has 45–65 points or more that are sharp.
