Description:
Among the terns, this tropical seabird stands out thanks to its jet-black back, black crown, and tidy white forehead. Young birds have a white undertail and are completely dark blackish with white markings on their wings. Most like the Bridled Tern, but with a narrower white line on the tail, a deeper black back, and dark undersides to the flight feathers.
