Description:
Snout is rounded anteriorly. Dorsal fin large and angular. Anal fin base much shorter than base of lower caudal fin lobe. Interdorsal or predorsal ridges are absent. Color: Light brown in adults, usually without a colour pattern, but young with broad dark transverse bars and usually a scattering of small blackish spots, bars not prominently edged with black.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Coral reefs, tidepools, tidal flats, reef faces. Probably also on soft bottom offshore to at least 85 m. Bay of Bengal.
