Description:
The front portion of the body displays a shade ranging from greyish to bluish. Upper part is brown to blackish while the lower part is greyish with a broad white midlateral stripe. The overall coloration is greyish-brown and the head is yellowish. The fish has a dark greyish-brown hue, featuring a curved pinkish to orange band behind the lower rear of the eye. Total number of dorsal spines is 11-12 with 15-18 dorsal soft rays, 2 anal spines and 17-21 anal soft rays.
