Description:
The upper jaw concludes noticeably before the eye. Pectoral fins are short, approximately twice the length of the head and about equivalent to the length of pelvic fins. The caudal fin is deeply forked, the lateral line exhibits a slight anterior arch. There are no scutes and caudal peduncle grooves are present. The coloration is dark olive-blue or green on the upper side and white on the lower side. Two narrow light blue or bluish-white stripes run along the sides are separated by a broader olive or yellowish stripe. The fins are dark with a white color on an olive-yellow background.
