Description:
Body is elongated and sub-cylindrical at the front, transitioning to a compressed form on the sides and posteriorly. Eyes are notably small. The dorsal and anal fins are formed by skin while the pectoral fins are short. Both the fins and the body exhibit a coloration of pinkish fins and a blackish-brown body. There are 6 dorsal spines with a range of 43-49 dorsal soft rays and a single anal spine. Anal soft rays range from 42-47.
