Description:
Belly exhibits 25–28 scutes extending from the isthmus to the anus with 10–12 lower gill rakers. The pseudobranch is concealed under the skin. In terms of coloration, the head has gold tints and both the anal and caudal fins are deep yellow. There are dark horizontal lines located behind the upper part of the gills.
