Description:
The dorsal fin originates after the anus and the preanal length is approximately two-thirds of the total length. Anterior nostril has a short raised rim near the tip of the snout, while the posterior nostril with a raised rim, is situated in front of the midpoint of the eye. Teeth are conical and of moderate size. The intermaxillary teeth are arranged in a lateral series on each side, continuous with the maxillary teeth and one or two median teeth are continuous with the vomerine teeth which are biserial and extend almost to the end of the maxillary teeth. Both the maxillary and mandibular teeth are uniserial. No pores are evident on the head or body. The coloration is dark brown, with a lighter shade on the underside of the head and throat. The fins are nearly black at the posterior end.
